Being a mid-50’s sex offender can be tough at times. However I have never had to worry about having a job. This is because since I was 18 I worked in factories. I have done it all from working with plastic to even helping people put produce into jars. It’s awesome. I could not ask for a better life. You see the secret to getting a job has nothing to do with your criminal history. All that matters is that you are able to work and you are happy to work. I am so thankful that I get to spend every day in this factory. I never have to worry about my bills or anything because I know that at the end of the day I can go work in another factory. My advice to any sex offender is that if you are willing to work, Try to apply at every factory you can. Most will not care about your history because you will not be around to many people. If someone gets mad at you for being a sex offender in a factory it will not affect how the company is viewed. People expect sex offenders to work at factories anyways. Well that’s all I have. What’s up guys?

Back before going to prison I was a bartender. I used to make a killing off all of the people that came in and I was there almost every night. if I was not working I was drinking. People loved me and I loved the people. This was the case up until I started dating this new girl that was coming to our bar. Man was she hot too. All the guys wanted her and I had her to myself. We dated for around a month before I found out she had a boyfriend the whole time. I was so mad because I really liked her. I felt so betrayed. Once I found out I stopped talking to her altogether. Cold turkey and all. She kept blowing up my phone over and over again. I finally answered and it was her boyfriend on the phone saying he was going to kick my ass for raping her. This crazy chick said I raped her because she was mad that I stopped talking to her. Before I know it the cops come to the bar and bring me in for questioning. They go on and on about how yeah we know you were friends and you were not dating her. She trusted you and you raped her. Then you stop talking to her because you feel guilty. I was so mad at this girl and told the cop to F off. They let me go and I went back to work. I thought everything was cool until one night they take me to jail on a class A rape felony. I could not believe this garbage. I was so nice to everyone and stopped so many fights and just tried to be a peace maker and then this crazy girl comes in to ruin my life. I was so mad. Then when I was in jail I told a few people about my case and they said I better just take a plea because I will get 25 years to life if I am convicted. So I did just that and spent 5 years in prison for a crime I did not commit. What made things horrible was when I got out every employer was scared that I was going to rape someone or something bad. I tried to go back to the bar and I got a mixed review from the people. Half of the people I knew stopped drinking or moved on with life and the other half were convinced that girl was raped by me. I was at a loss. I had no skills other than bar tending. Then an old friend of mine stopped over. He was gay and went to a bar regularly. I decided I would go with him because he was a good friend of mine a long time ago. He told my story to the people at the bar and they felt so bad for me. The owner was sitting next to us and started crying. He said the same thing had happened to his son. Some girl he dated cried rape on him because she was mad. He was still in prison. He had been there for 17 years. Then he told me all about his life and how he thinks that people should just be more caring and not use the system to get back at people. I then explained how lost I was and how bad I needed a job. He let me serve beer all night that night and I thanked him. We became really good friends and now he lets me take over the bar when he’s busy or just wants a night off. What’s even better is that now I have a bunch of supporting friends that are there for me. Not one person has said anything bad to me and everyone seems to really care about each other. I could not be happier now.

Hey,

When I got out of prison I did not even have the chance to get a job. My family wanted me to just hang out around the house for a few months so I could get used to things again. It was a good idea. In return they wanted me to just fix things here and there. Which I had no problem with because it’s not every day you get to do fun things like this in prison. So the day came when something broke that I did not want to fix. The toilet. It stunk! Crap was everywhere and I just did not know what to do. Someone called a plumber. I don’t know who did that. It was probably me ha-ha. Well they came over to our mess of a bathroom. While they were working I wanted to help them because it’s just what I was told to do. They said they had it under control but I insisted and they let me help. I was catching on pretty fast and they liked the way I worked. Someone quit that morning and they were understaffed so they asked me if I needed a job. I said yes and now I fix drains and do all sorts of plumbing. It’s a good paying job. Well that is my story I hope it helps someone out.

So my story goes like this. Back in 2008 I was convicted of having sex with a minor. I spent 10 months in jail and got back to the world. However this time no one wanted to hire me. My friends all left me and the girlfriend I had was nowhere to be found. I was all alone. What made matters worse was I did not even have enough cash to pay for my court cost either. So I walked around every day for about a month looking for jobs and filling out applications. No one ever even called. Then one day I was walking around looking for jobs and I stopped by a gas station and seen people painting the outside of it. I asked them if I could help out and they said yes. I finished the job for them and then they hired me on the spot. I guess my work was really good. It was my first time too. So now they have me painting houses about 4 days a week. Its good money too. $10 an hour cash. Sometimes I get 50 hours. It pays my bills.

So I guess I can tell you about my road to becoming a full time stay at home slob of a blogger. Well it all started when I could not get a job. I tried and tried and tried. Mostly it was the self-defeating thoughts I had. However that’s another story. Now one day while I was reading other websites about how to get rich online, I found this person talking about blogging. How many people try it and fail at it. Well since I was a failure anyways I thought to myself “why not give it a shot if I don’t succeed I won’t be surprised.” I had so many things I was passionate about. One being video games. As sad as it sounds it’s what I love. How childish right? This is what led me to start making videos of me playing other video games and reviewing them. I would go to the GameStop and rent a few games and play them through. Recoding every step of the way and making a complete walk through of the game. I would also write it down and take pictures. Giving my expert advice and all. After I did this I started uploading the videos to YouTube and spreading the word about the on every forum I could find. I was getting thousands of views a month. However when I noticed other people doing the same thing. They all had a website where they would recommend their fans come back to. As of this point I was just uploading my walkthroughs to forums. I was thinking about all the people I was losing to those sites. People who loved the same things as me. So I figured out how to make a website. It was not hard and I have little knowledge of making websites. I just bought a hosting service and installed WordPress on it. Then I started posting. People were coming in by the thousands from my YouTube videos and forum posts. This is when I realized something. These people really trust me and my content. Why not try to make money off them. So I started linking them to websites where they could buy stuff from companies. These companies then gave me a percentage of the sale. Now I make enough to live semi comfortably. I know this may sound farfetched but I really spent 2 years doing this before I made a dime. Anyways at the end of the day I guess it’s if you love something then try to make money off of it.

Hi guys,

So in 2004 I committed my crime. I spent around 9 years in prison and was so happy to get out of prison. I could finally see my family and start living a more productive life. However when I got out I learned real fast that people do not like sex offenders. Not only in prison do they hate them, they also hate them out on the streets. No one would hire me, or so I thought. Then one day I got it in my head that this thing was not going to beat me down. So I put on my best cloths and went to every store in town and talked to all the business owners. I said this to them “Please listen, I need a job right now is there anything I can do for you, Even if it’s just a one time thing. I really need money bad.” It took a few tries but I got a job washing dishes. It did not pay the greatest but I was so happy to have that job. I worked at the job for a while and they let me become a cook. I was so happy. Now I make $12 an hour cooking for a small restaurant. It may not be a million dollars but it’s still something great.
