In an utopian emergent society any conviction, be it theft, violent, or sex offence , after the state has achieved a conviction resulting in conviction, its primary function is to collect money via federal corrections funding, at which point it is up to the individual to euthanize him self as to relieve the bundan he has cause his comunity. In this country any conivction is a life sentance. My conviction is over twelve years which was a misdeamer resultiog in a simply psyc eval and a sex offence class. I was my victims second offender the conviction was contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor 1 month before she turned 18 ..i dated im victm for one year before she stole money from my room mate at which point i called the police….i have not been able to find a job in 9 years despite have extensive work experience and the equilivent of an AA …the best thing to do is try to work for yourself i understand if you dont have gas money in your pocket then some times its not an option but try to make personal contact with employers be honest.

When you get out of prison what do you put on your APP. for past job experience I was told to put down State of Oregon put then for pay I can’t put $30 a month as a janitor or the other prison the sent me to at $60 month as a kitchen worker then they want a supervisor I put many address phone numbers ect.. if not I have over 8yrs of lost employment and some apps want you to show them want you did in that lost time. so it just stinks.

I have been released since 11/08/12, and have been off of parole since 5/7/14. I have been a hairstylist for 32 years and was just terminated by the largest hair corporation in the world, Regis. After disclosing my criminal history on their employment application, they hired me as a manager. 5 weeks later, they flew in their HR Coordinator to terminate my employment. When I asked the reason for my termination, they sa8d it was from community complaints and would not give me any more information. They offered me a 3 months severence package in exchange for a signed release of liability, which releases them from anything and everything. I am in Arkansas in a town that borders Texas and have suffered the effects of the ‘good ole boy’ justice system since I was forced under duress to take a plea bargain or be sentenced to 60 years in prison….this was from a judge who delivered his message through my lawyer via another judge. I warned not to takee this to trial even though there was no evidence implicating me or even linking me to this crime.
Sorry for rambling, but someone needs to look into the doings of Bowie/Miller county ‘justice system. I have one question…has anyone ever been aquitted of this crime or even been given the opportunity to defend themselves in open court? This is insane!

I’ve been working at a few warehouses, through a temp agency for the past 2 1/2 years. Applied for full time at both and rejected. I have only missed 3 days outside of when I hurt my back. It’s been 12years zince my covition, 7 since completing probation,and all court ordered stipulations. I’m a good worker, but it doesn’t matter when most company HR departments are 500+ miles away and judging you solely on a piece of black and white paper. When in some cases, it’s not.

I am currently working for a locally owned landscape company and have been with them for 4 years. I also do contract work for a company on the weekends. I did weekend lawn care work on my own for a few years. Iwas surprised at how many referrals I received. If you own a push mower, a backpack blower, and a weedeater, you can start a lawn care business immediately! You will be surprised how fast your business will grow. Just keep trying! Don’t let ignorant companies let you get depressed because they won’t hire you. Most of those companies are worthless anyways. So be persistent and not a push over!
